Composite is a tooth-coloured filling material that can be bonded onto your teeth to alter the shape, repair or mask the teeth. It can be done without damaging the underlying tooth and so it is a non-invasive method if carried out correctly.
Dr. Imran will determine whether your teeth are suitable for composite bonding and which type of bonding you would benefit more from. Send your photos in today for advice on composite bonding.

If the edges of your teeth need to be levelled and you are generally happy with the overall shape of your teeth, then composite edge bonding can be done to partly cover your teeth. This will be done to match the existing shade of your teeth so whitening beforehand is normally recommended if you like to improve the shade of your teeth also.
These cover the full surface of your teeth and are suitable in some cases where the teeth are straight and not protruding out as they will add further bulk to your teeth. Regular polishing is recommended.
Composite bonding can be done in a single appointment and lasts between 5-7 years as long as they are cared for and regular check ups are carried out. They are slightly weaker than natural teeth and porcelain therefore more prone to chipping however Dr. Imran will help you to decide what treatment is best for your smile.
Composite bonding can stain with tea, coffee, tumeric, red wine and other food colours.
It is important to keep your composites maintain and get them refreshed every 6-12 months. Contact Dr Imran if you’d like to find out more about this service
